2008: J.K./County Board of Education -- provided technical assistance on the
Americans with Disabilities Act, advised on reasonable accommodations
involving public school system and client's teenage son with Crohn's
disease.
2007: K.G./Department of Children's Services - provided technical assistance
on Americans with Disabilities Act to mother with cancer about retaining
custody of her minor children during treatments.
2006: H.B/Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County,
Tennessee: advise family on securing reasonable accommodation re zoning
variances to protect five year old girl with autism from running into heavily
traveled public highway.
2005-2006: P.M. v. United States Post Office: counseled adult with
epilepsy regarding reasonable accommodation under Rehabilitation Act and
access to mail services without having to drive a motor vehicle in the town.
2005: N.W. v. X County, Tennessee Board of Education: Councils family of
ten year old boy using wheelchair on securing architectural barrier removal
and also proper auxiliary services by nursing staff.
2005: R.W. v. Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County,
Tennessee Transit Authority: represented gunshot victim with quadraplegia
to secure access to public transportation.
